Garbage Service

The Village has a contract with Grangers for garbage pick up. 

  • Granger Pick up

    To limit contact and keep workers safe, Granger will only be picking up trash in bags or carts. Please respect these guidelines and refrain from setting out any loose trash on collection day.   • Recyling

    Granger will pick up recycling every week with the regular garbage. Recycling needs to be placed in the blue recycling bags. Place the blue bag inside your Granger can. 

    Bags can be bought at the Village office for $10 for a box of 50.

  • Bulk Item Pick up

    Please contact Granger to set up and pay for bulk item pick up. 517-372-2800 or

    • Common Bulk Items: Furniture, appliances, carpet and padding, mattresses and box springs
    • Pricing: Pricing varies based on the type of item(s), size(s) and quantity. An extra charge applies for appliances containing Freon or other refrigerants.
    • Collection Frequency: One-time pickup
    • Availability: Service available for existing trash customers
