GARBAGE SERVICE:
The Village of Parma currently contracts with Granger Waste Services for weekly residential trash collection. Garbage must be placed in a Granger bin and placed at the curb on the day of or the night before pickup. Bins cannot remain at the curb other days of the week. Holiday pick up schedule
FALL LEAF REMOVAL:
The village will dispose of bagged leaves for residents using biodegradable leaf bags. The Village of Parma Office has leaf bags $4 for a pack of 10. These are the only bags that the village will pick up. When the bags are full (no heavier than 20lbs), place them on your curb and the village will pick them up. These bags are only for leaves (no grass clippings or yard waste) Please do not place bags out in the rain. Grass and leaves cannot be blown or raked into the street.
ANNUAL CLEAN UP DAY:
The village offers an annual clean up day (usually in the late spring or early fall) where residents can place unwanted items neatly at the curb to be hauled away. This service is for village residents only. Those living outside the village cannot bring items into the village to be hauled away. Items that cannot be collected include: batteries, tires, paint, construction debris, bricks/cement or items containing Freon.
WINTER SNOWPLOWING:
The village will keep the streets clear of snow in during the winter months. To allow for this, a Winter parking ordinance is in place November 1 - April 30 which prohibits parking on the street between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. so that snow removal equipment can travel through the village without obstruction.
MUNICIPAL WATER SYSTEM:
The village of Parma owns and operates one of the newest and most modern municipal water systems in Jackson County. The system meets or exceeds the state requirement for water safety, and has never used lead water lines. The service provides water for area residences and business, and our network of fire hydrants throughout the village.
MUNICIPAL SEWER:
The village of Parma has a central sewer system that provides service to all residences and businesses within the village.
